A few summer photos

I uploaded a few photos from summer.  Some photos from when we went to Bounce-a-Rama, swimming, and the boys playing with foam outside.  I uploaded them quickly to get the memory card cleared so I have yet to rotate and filter through them but it's good enough for now, I guess.

Easter Fun

It was another fun Easter.  The kids had a great day.  Even with the kids buzzing around all day the adults were able to relax a little. 

Katelynn made some decorations including a sign for the Second Annual Shrimp Feed.

 

She helped me set the table with little baskets and name tags.

 

It was fun to use all of Great Grandma Campoy's dishes.  I think of her everytime I use them.  Thanks, Grammy. 

 

We picked out some flowers....flowers always make things look prettier.

 

The kids loved their baskets.....the boys got a soft animal and candy and Katelynn got some baking items and a french version of the magnetic poetry which she really loved....oh, and of course a chocolate bunny.

Avila

We had such a great time on our little trip to the beach.  Avila was fun and the kids had such a great time....they were so exhausted at the end of each day they begged to go to bed. 

So here's why I loved Avila

The Avila Valley Barn was so fun... I could have spent way more time there than we did.  They have a million great things to look at.  Lots of homemade preserves, beautiful fruits and veggies, plants, little trinkets, and lots of animals to pet and feed. 

Jack loved feeding the animals.  He had a big bag of veggie scraps and fed it to all the different animals.  Stephen fed the animals too but we had to help him a bit to keep his little fingers from getting nibbled on.  He actually preferred petting the cow.  Lucky for him his arms are so thin they fit right through the fence so he continued to pet the cow while Jack fed it....that was one happy cow for sure.

 

 

 

Walking on the beach at night.  The weather was great so a walk at night was really relaxing....

The kids loved running on the pier.  I liked looking back at the view of the town....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Playing on the swings while watching the waves and looking up at the super blue sky (my favorite).....

 

 

 

Taking a really long walk from Pismo Beach to Grover Beach looking for shells, running through the water, and enjoying the sunshine.  For the first time Jack looked for shells and gathered them in his bucket.  Stephen was his usual self....he runs full force towards the water with no fear.  We have to stop him or who knows how far in he will go.  There is no stopping that boy.  He loves the water.  Katelynn found lots and lots of sand dollars and enlisted Jack to help her......

Enjoying the flowers that have already arrived and looking forward to all those that are ready to bloom soon.  I love spring time.

April Fools Day

I didn't encounter any pranks today but Katelynn was very enthusiastic about pulling pranks on Joe.  It started out when she put grape juice in a can of coke and offered him a sip.  Pretty tame.

Things she wanted to do but I didn't let her....

change his mouthwash to turn his teeth blue

......where does she get this?   I better be careful tonight....never know what's left on her list.

Too Funny

Hey, Mom!  Look what Kathryn and I did.  Christina...don't look :)

Remember when Christina used to wear her glasses and that denim hat with the huge flower on it?   She must have been about 8 or 9 years old and she thought it was the coolest.  Kathryn and I put this little photo together to pay homage to her fashion forward look....it's FIERCE.
